About | My Site 2

Hi there!

My name is Anja and I'm from Cologne, Germany. Born and raised.

I was educated at the Free University of Berlin and hold a German degree in economics.

I came to the United States in 1995, raised three children and have lived in California, New York, Virginia and Kentucky. I have taught German to Americans for over thirty years.

I can help with any German endeavor.
I'm a German Native Speaker who is fully bilingual, can simultaneously translate between German and English and has vast experience teaching German to students of all ages. I have worked as a translator and as a German localization editor for online games. Currently, I write a blog about German expressions for one online German language agency and a weekly creative script about German culture and news for another.

I am offering:

- One on one tutoring sessions in person or via Zoom to people of any age and level of proficiency. Due to Corona just via Zoom at the moment
- Translation of any documents, heritage history or letters
- Consulting on German culture, business practices, way of life
- Flexible schedule
- Friendly, personable and patient service
- Free, personal meet at a local coffee house, currently via Zoom, without any obligation to see if there is a good fit

-Corporate clients are welcome!

I currently charge $40 per hour for Zoom for private students, $45 per hour for corporate clients
